Our separator is a polyolefin microporous film which has a uniform microporous structure produced by our original dry manufacturing process. Our separator is the essential material for lithium-ion batteries (LIB) which has been used in the broad fields of LIB application for many years.

UPORE®

  1. Since pore shape of membrane is straight towards the direction of thickness, resistance to transmitting ions is low. So it is suitable for high charge and discharge of batteries.
  2. Heat shrinkage of transverse direction (TD) is greatly low because of one way (Machine Direction, MD) stretching process.
  3. Having a shutdown function, tri-layer structure, polyethylene is laminated between two polypropylene layers, is excellent in safety of batteries.
  4. Making the best use of straight microporous structure produced by our dry manufacturing process, we have mono (single) layer separator on our product portfolio.
  5. Without using solvent, our dry manufacturing process is good for the environment.

CPORE® -Ceramic Coated Separator-

CPORE® is a high functional coated separator film which is produced by advanced dispersion technology and high speed and accuracy coating technology on the surface of separator film. CPORE® is produced by Ube Maxell Kyoto Co., Ltd..

  1. Excellent in resistance of heat.
  2. Excellent in resistance of short circuit.
  3. Having shutdown function, safety level is same as UPORE®.

Application

  • UPORE® is mainly used for rechargeable lithium-ion batteries (LIB). The product is folded between cathode and anode inside batteries. In case batteries become high temperature, pores shutdown, which prevent batteries from overheat. UPORE® is vital material for securing safety of batteries.
  • UPORE® is suitable for lithium-ion batteries (LIB) which are required for high safety and high frequency of charge and discharge such as batteries electric vehicles (BEV), plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV), hybrid vehicles (HEV).
  • Our product is fit for fast charging and discharging batteries which demand is growing for many applications lately such as automated guided vehicles (AGV), energy storage systems (ESS).
