Outline of the 17th UBE Classical Concert

This year’s UBE Classical Concert was held at Watanabe Memorial Hall in Ube on October 13th.

Although COVID-19 is still with us, we believe it is also important to put a warm focus on art and culture, thus we hoped to bring even a little of the power and wonder of an orchestra to all.

We would be pleased if this concert assists in regional revitalization and contributes to maintaining and developing the area’s music culture.

For this concert, we invited Mr. Takeshi Ooi, a conductor who is passionate about reaching an ever-wider range of people with music via concerts that include speeches as well as events for children. This year, he was joined by the prominent flutist Ms. Ayako Takagi. Ms. Takagi’s musicianship transcends genres and features a tone quality that is overflowing with technique and individuality. This will be the first concert in which we welcome a solo flutist.
